not one person trusted me last week - kinda hurts
I offered this really nice case of wine up that I had personally picked but didn't have time to tell you about and none of you trusted me and just went ahead and ordered it - guess I know where I stand as a trusted friend with you now - well here's your damn descriptions then
ponga - a Pinot Noir from New Zealand - hard to find an inexpensive one - this is it - a total charmer, offering vibrant, pure, strawberry, black cherry-accented Pinot Noir fruit - super tasty NZ Pinot!
Casa Torelli Chianti - so why a Chianti?here's a blurb about this wine I found - couldn't agree more - "It's almost impossible to incorrectly pair this wine with anything and it reaches its best with traditional home style cooking, especially barbeque, pasta, savory fish or shellfish dishes: so if you think there's a chance any of these items might be in your future ...
OS Winery Red Blend - simple on this one - Wine Enthusiast gave it a 90 point rating - says it way overdelivers for the the price - I think its damn good - from Merlot, Cab, Cab Franc & Petite Verdot
and last but not least
Gunfighter - was unsure of this wine - the only one I hadn't previously tasted - its from Sonoma's Dry Creek Valley - a blend of Zin, Cab Sav & Syrah - sold this case of the month to a insurance office for a grand opening last week - guess what wine was the most popular - Gunfighter it was! Dark, rich and firmly structured with beautiful aromas and flavors of blackberry, currant, spice box, dark chocolate, and tobacco - they just continue to evolve with each sip - fun label too if you're into that kind of thing!
